AECP Level 2 Final Challenge Part II

For the second part of the final challenge, I had to alter an item. I mean, you could do so many things with paper. I already did a lot for decoration with paper, especially for Birthdays. But I wanted to do something I never did before. 

Then I remembered a white lamp I have and thought, what if I’m going to ad flowers to this.





This was the start of my project.

 

As components I went for:

-       Easy ink blending techniques – as I colored my flowers with ink

-       In the mood for color – as I choose a matching color scheme

-       Let it shine – as I added a little bit of shine and texture with embossing

 

For my color combination I chose something which pairs well with my purple wall. I used the colors from the color scheme but added also green because it felt e little bit more organic like this.

I also wanted to have a big floral image over the whole lamp. So I went for the Rocktrompet Stamp Set. This flower is huge, so gorgeous and perfect to add al the different inks with the layering stencils.






I started by stamping the image with black pigment ink and added clear embossing powder. This gives a little bit of texture and shine. Because the flower is so big I found it easier to cut out everything first with the matching die, before coloring. Like this it holds better on my sticky mat. 

 




Once I placed the stencil in place, I started adding color with a large blending brush and added then more color with a small blending brush. I really like how the flowers turned out.

 



Finally, I adhered everything on my lamp. I used clear sticky dots, so I can always take it away when I don’t like it anymore.

 



I love this artsy look on the lamp and in the dark it really glows. But it’s definitely not for everyone. What do you think?

My goal was to try something new. And I did.

This is so easy and you just receive amazing results. And I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of different inks and so I can use them all. Anyway, here is my card. I stamp the image with black ink and embossed it clear. Then I colored the tulips by using the stencil, the stamp and finally I added also I little bit of watercolor.  I created a background with watercolor too. Then finally I added some splatter and a sentiment from the same stamp set.

U nbelievable how creative she always is!   I created some cards I would like to share with you.   My first card I made with the new Daisies stencil that coordinates with embossing folder. I first colored the embossing folder with a brayer and run it through my die cut machine. Then colored the flowers with the stencils in blue and purple. I love this color combination. And with the stencil it is so easy to get great results.  After coloring I put the paper back in the embossing folder and run it through again, so I got back some of the dimension I may have lost with the coloring. I decided to take a small sentiment from the Floral Halo Stamp Set and fussy cut it out. I didn’t want to distract from this beautiful image. September 2022 Winter Magic Release Blog Hop

So today I’m going to show you some cards I created with some products from the  September Winter Magic Release Blog Hop. Most of the cards are with Christmas themes. I really love this special magical time. But I don’t know about you, it is also the time when I miss loved ones who are no longer with us the most. So, I tried to add a little bit of sparkle and shine on all my cards, because this makes me just feel happy.   My first card I created with the Poinsettia & Berries Stamp Set. O stamped the flowers and leaves and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
