January Inspiration Challenge

Hi everyone!


Today I created a card for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge. I love the colors Agnieszka has chosen.

I started by cutting stripes with a matching color and glued them to a black background. I wanted to created that same Maritime feel. At the bottom I let a black space so there is a little bit more interest.

Then I die cut the flowers from the Cape Marguerite Die Set in blue and added shadings with inks and pencils.


For the leaves I didn’t have a matching cardstock, so I colored them with Alcohol markers. I love to use all these different mediums. This brings me so much joy.





Finally, I added the sentiment from the Streamlined Stamp and Die set. The upper part is stamped und the word lovely I die cut. How cool is that to add this dimension?!

I love all of them.   My first card I created using the Build-A- Garden Tulips and Friends Stamp & Stencil Set. This is actually one of my favorites because I love to color flowers with stencils. This is so easy and you just receive amazing results. And I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of different inks and so I can use them all. Anyway, here is my card. I stamp the image with black ink and embossed it clear. Today I’m going to share some cards featuring the new embossing folder from the Sommer Love Collection.   My first card I created with the Geo Triangles Embossing Folder. And the best thing about this embossing folder is, that there are also coloring stencils available. I started to emboss some white cardstock and then colored it with the stencil with different shades of green. I added a geometric piece who matches the pattern from the embossing folder and stamped my sentiment there. Then I used some flowers from the Wonderland Stamp set I had actually left over from another project.
