AECP - Color Your Day

 Hi everyone!


It was about time to move on with my AECP. Today I made a card on the theme colors and color inspiration. The lesson was called Color Your Day! I find the most inspiration in nature. Or sometimes in fabric. 

For my card I have taken a tool that I absolutely love! The Color Catalog from Sarah Renae Clark.






I had the tendency to always combine the same colors. But with the color catalog you discover so much new and I love to find out which of my inks and papers match the colors.



I stamped the Dear Dahlias twice and colored them by using the stencil and the matching colors. Then I added a little bit of depth with markers and pencils. I like to use different kind of mediums. Then I diecut the leaves from the dahlia with the coordinating dies and colored them with my blending brush.

In the end, I thought it needed a little more purple. So I added two small branches.

 






For my background I took the Dotted Pinwheels Stamp set. This creates so much texture, without distracting to much. For a tone on tone look I stamped it with Versamark Ink and added clear embossing powder.

 

For my sentiment I cut out the word happy with the Fine Alphabet Die from Altenew. And also, the word birthday from the Spellbinders Layered Sentiment Stripes.

I added a little bit of glossy accent to the word happy, so it shines a little bit more.

This is so easy and you just receive amazing results. And I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of different inks and so I can use them all. Anyway, here is my card. I stamp the image with black ink and embossed it clear. Then I colored the tulips by using the stencil, the stamp and finally I added also I little bit of watercolor.  I created a background with watercolor too. Then finally I added some splatter and a sentiment from the same stamp set.

Hello everyone!   Thank you so much for visiting my blog. You must be here from  LauraJane s  Blog. U nbelievable how creative she always is!   I created some cards I would like to share with you.   My first card I made with the new Daisies stencil that coordinates with embossing folder. I first colored the embossing folder with a brayer and run it through my die cut machine. Then colored the flowers with the stencils in blue and purple. I love this color combination. And with the stencil it is so easy to get great results.  After coloring I put the paper back in the embossing folder and run it through again, so I got back some of the dimension I may have lost with the coloring. I decided to take a small sentiment from the Floral Halo Stamp Set and fussy cut it out. I didn’t want to distract from this beautiful image. Today I’m going to share some cards featuring the new embossing folder from the Sommer Love Collection.   My first card I created with the Geo Triangles Embossing Folder. And the best thing about this embossing folder is, that there are also coloring stencils available. I started to emboss some white cardstock and then colored it with the stencil with different shades of green. I added a geometric piece who matches the pattern from the embossing folder and stamped my sentiment there. Then I used some flowers from the Wonderland Stamp set I had actually left over from another project.
